Practicing Change
Often we keep repeating patterns out of unconscious habit instead of from awakened desire and passion. One of the reasons for this may be that we don't like change. Some of us are so afraid of change that we choose to wait for change to happen and then are shocked when the changes that occur are rather drastic – which just proves our point and gives us another reason not to change!
We actually don't have to dive into that kind of tension if we allow our laughing heart to guide us out of our rut and into our groove.
Change
is inevitable - the seasons change and so do you. Get to know the dynamics
of change so you can follow the impulses of your passion with more
ease.
Start by making simple changes, observe what happens and if the change does
not feel good, change again. This practice play makes it safer for you to change
and get to know and feel the joy of changing.
Change
it up!
Change the way you walk, how you put one foot before the other, soft and gentle
or firm and determined, small steps - big steps;
Eat something you have never eaten before;
Sleep with your head at the end of your bed;
Go clothes shopping and try on something you "normally" would never
wear;
Listen to a variety of music;
Do
something different!

Staying in touch with yourself
Spring
is slowly rolling in and with it some explosive energies or dynamics.
In this time it is particularly helpful to stay in touch with yourself
and with what is true to you. As many of us lead such busy lives,
that is easier said than done, and it is less complicated then you
might
think.
Fortunately
in this case, we are beings of habit, so creating little rituals or routines
throughout the day can be very helpful to stay on track and not be swept
away by some energies that fly through the air (unless you want to be
swept off your feet in spring ;o)
Here are some ways that you can turn habits into meaningful rituals.
Brushing your teeth … whenever
your brush your teeth, use this time to look yourself
into your eyes, and ask that person looking back at you, “How
would you like your day to be?” or “How was
your day?” Allow the contact to be made!
Clothing...
every time you dress yourself also put on your loving cloak (bubble)
and feel it wrapping itself around you. With that take a moment to feel
good in your skin and cloak.
When taking off your clothes, consciously take off all the stress, worries
and stories you have collected during the day. Strip down to who you are and
let go of anything else that gets in way.
Traffic lights … whenever you
have to stop at a red light, take this time to belly
breathe, and consciously connect with how you are being
(feeling, doing, thinking) in this moment, connecting
with your truth.
Ringing
telephones … How many times a day do you
hear a telephone ring? As some monks do, every time you
hear a phone ring (instead of the big gong they sound
throughout the day) take a moment (that does not have
to be longer than the time from one ring to the other)
and connect with this moment and your safe, loving, sacred
space around you (bubble).
Get
the idea? It is important that you find times and ways that work for
you. Be creative! And let us know about the little rituals you have
created.
It takes a little discipline to change your habits into loving rituals and
hardly any time.

Fall in love
We
are heading into spring and this is the perfect time to start
flirting, flirt with yourself, fall in love with
yourself and know your inner light.
When you look into the mirror, give yourself a big smile and
a flattering compliment, just like you do with someone you are
in love with (even if you don't speak it
out loud).
Call your cell phone and leave a loving message for your self "Hello
gorgeous ....!". Just in case you need a reminder.
Spoil yourself with lots of treats during your day: a conscious breath; lots
of appreciation; get fresh flowers to remind you of your own beauty; allow
yourself little or big happy dances throughout the day; eat well
and what you like and enjoy it with every fibre of your being; be creative
in the way you
flirt with yourself! Only you know what you like best.
This way, when situations in life challenge you, you know there is someone
who loves you, no matter what ... you! Being loved instantly creates a brighter
world.
And when life is moving to a different beat than you would like it to, take
a deep belly breath and trust yourself! The world unfolds in divine ways
and timing!
Start flirting today so you love yourself tomorrow! Your world is all about
you!
Let's take a moment and play ...
focus your attention on a
place in nature that you would call your place of inner peace.
A place where you feel very nurtured, energized, happy and safe.
See the colors around you... smell the scent in the air ... hear
the sounds ... and feel the air. Take several deep breaths and
receive the nurturing energy of your place of inner peace, feel
it in your body, allow your energy to be recharged and allow
your thoughts to be focused on the exploration of your place.
Connect with this moment of peace and enjoy.
Now take a moment and think of how often you judge and criticize yourself, worry
about the future, analyze the past or wonder what other people might think. In
those times you are using the same power of focusing your attention and energy
as you did when you focused on your inner place of peace.
How would you feel if you approached every circumstance connected with your place
of inner peace? The next time you find your attention wandering off into areas
that do not make your heart laugh, breathe and connect with your inner place
of peace and look again.
Have fun exploring

Staying in the present and nurture yourself with the power of your breath
When
was the last time you have taken a conscious breath? How about NOW?
Take a big breath in, fill yourself - just like
the big bellied, laughing Buddha - with life, love and laughter mmmmmmm
~~~~ Then allow your breath to flow out of you, and send with it
the blessing of love, life, and a big smile mmmmmm - become the flat
bellied,
smiling Buddha.
In times of change and challenges it is easy to loose touch with the NOW moment,
live in our imaginary worlds of regretting past events or worrying about the
future. As our body is always in the NOW moment, conscious breathing is an
easy way to re-connect with the present moment beyond regrets and worries into
the fullness of life. And when you add a big smile to your breath it allows
life to nurture you even more.
Be yourself and have fun with it
